What’s New?

Below are highlights of the most recent Employee Navigator enhancements:


Cleaner Enrollment Tracking

Enrollment status reports now accurately reflect employee status. Pending enrollments appear on the home page to-do list as expected.

Clearer GI Change History
  • The Setup Change Log for Life and Voluntary Life plans now identifies the Guaranteed Issue (GI) category change, New Hire/Newly Eligible, Late Entrant, or Existing Enrollment. You can see exactly what was updated and when.
  • GI rules for Voluntary Life plans imported via Carrier APIs are now saved even when "based on" conditions are incomplete and will display under a "Grouping Not Set" label.

HSA & Allowance Amounts Add Up
  • The Benefit Allowance summary now correctly reflects available HSA allocation amounts for employees on Off-Calendar HSA plans, consistent with what appears on the HSA Enrollment page during Open Enrollment.
  • Benefit Allowance amounts now accurately reflect employer per-pay costs on Open Enrollment records for new hires enrolling in Third Party Plans during a future-dated Open Enrollment.

Easier HRA Plan Management
  • HRA plans now default to appear after Medical plans in enrollment order, and you can customize HRA plan position in the sort order.
  • Resolved an issue preventing some HRA plans from appearing on the Benefit Summary page.


Termination Data That Stays in Sync

When a retro termination occurs, the employee's termination reason will now be applied to their dependent records as well.

Plan Configuration Enhancements
  • The Dependent Benefits page in Group Life plans will now save and delete as expected.
  • Dependent benefit limits for Voluntary Life and Critical Illness plans are now correctly enforced during Open Enrollment, reflecting the current plan year's configuration rules.
  • Composite-rated Medical plans copied from the carrier Marketplace now support Individual Contributions.
  • Resolved a rounding issue affecting Voluntary Life, Voluntary Life & AD&D, Voluntary AD&D, Critical Illness, Permanent Life, and Supplemental Life plans when GI is configured as "Lesser of Flat or x Earnings" and the benefit uses increments.


HRIS: Employee Management

The latest release incorporates updates designed to keep you oriented and on track:
  • The Incomplete Employees Plan report and Employee Management page now accurately reflect missing address fields (County, State, and/or ZIP Code) for employees at companies with plans that use Carrier Service Area Eligibility.
  • Employees with read-only address configurations can now successfully complete the Address step during enrollment without encountering errors.


PTO Approval Workflow

Resolved an issue where email security software scanning the approval link in "Leave Request Created – Notify Manager" emails was inadvertently triggering an approval or denial before the manager had a chance to review the request.


Agency & Company Settings

The Licensee Wall Dashboard "Refresh" button now correctly resets after use. This update resolves an issue where some users were unable to refresh dashboard stats for up to three hours.

Reporting & Visibility
Timestamps on the Company level, Carrier Subscription Manage History page and the Employee Integrations page now reflect each user's local time zone as set in their web browser. This makes it easier to view, track, and report on employee activity without manually converting times.

After a transfer via an Agency Change Request, estimated Nelco ACA e-filing fee visibility now correctly reflects the current brokerage's "Hide ACA Fees on Audit" setting.

Company Settings
Resolved an issue causing duplicate Dynamic Classes to be created when copying a plan with Default Eligibility Rules based on dynamic classes. Users can now freely edit the "Is Demo Company" setting on the Company Profile page, regardless of whether the company has any Partner Invitations on record.


AgencyBloc Integration Update

The current AgencyBloc integration is no longer being actively supported by Employee Navigator. It will remain functioning, but support will be limited to basic usage questions. 

AgencyBloc and Employee Navigator are committed to building a new integration with a larger feature set. Until that time, we do not recommend setting up new connections between Employee Navigator and AgencyBloc.
 

Third-Party Apps

In the Colonial Life Sync error review page (Benefits > Colonial Life Sync), you can now click an employee's name when reviewing employee-level errors to navigate directly to their profile page, making it faster to review and update information without manually searching.

When creating a new plan by copying from the Marketplace, Third-Party Apps plans are now clearly labeled in the Benefit Type dropdown as "<Carrier Name> Third-Party Apps Plans." This makes it easier to distinguish them from standard plans.


Partner

The Ideon Rate Library carrier availability has been expanded to include Hawaii Medical Assurance Association.

Resolved an issue with how the rules engine evaluated rule condition hierarchy order during file generation. 834 EDI and Data Exchange files will now report the expected code values.

Multi-tenant file test results now display in a green success banner, consistent with the single-tenant experience.

Adding a vendor user will now fail if the email address is already in use, preventing duplicate accounts.


API

Members completing an Evidence of Insurability questionnaire through the Principal EOI integration will now see an error message if their answers contain invalid combinations, giving them the opportunity to correct and resubmit before the questionnaire is sent to Principal, helping prevent enrollment delays.
