New federal standards may change the Medicare Part D creditable coverage status of employer-sponsored prescription drug plans in 2027. We surveyed fully insured carriers to identify non-creditable California and Nevada Small Group plans and help employers prepare for renewal and required notices.

Nevada carriers must notify CMS and Medicare-eligible employees annually if group health plan drug coverage meets Medicare Part D standards. This guide lists non-creditable plans; others are creditable. Applies at case install or renewal within 60 days.
