University of California San Diego (UCSD Health) has posted an important update to its provider network for 2026.
 
Effective 1/1/2026, UCSD Health will no longer be part of the Blue Shield of California Trio HMO network. It will continue to be in the Blue Shield of California Access+ HMO network as well as the Full Network PPO.
 
For employer-sponsored Blue Shield of California commercial HMO plan members, beginning 1/1/2026, primary care is limited to UCSD Health affiliated groups. This includes Perlman Clinic, San Diego Sports Medicine, One Medical, UC San Diego Health Accountable Care Network (various locations), and other select providers.
