When can I start quoting 1/1/2027 in ASG?For 1/1/2027 and later effective dates, all states will be available to quote 120 days prior to the requested effective date. California groups are always able to be quoted 120 days prior to the effective date, states outside of CA are standardly 90 days prior to the effective date outside of 1/1 effective dates.
What commission options can be used?
Aetna has moved to Per Employee Per Month (PEPM) for ALL quoted products in ASG, including fully insured 101-200 enrolled in California. Please convert your percentage of premium commissions needs into a PEPM for all Gateway quotes.
Can I quote ACA plans in ASG?
ACA plans are not quoted in the new Sales Gateway; continue to quote those as you do today.
Why didn't my CA 101+ quote include both AFA and fully insured options?
Current functionality for quoting California groups of 101+ will release the proposal with the same funding as their current carrier. Coordinate with your sales rep before submission if alternate funding is desired.
Why is ASG asking for FTE count?
California eligibility review uses Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) counting methodology to determine if the group is eligible for 2-100 plans (ACA or AFA) or 101-200 enrolled plans (101+ fully insured or AFA). Log in to Aetna’s Producer Word for AFA UW guidelines and assistance on counting method.
Which carrier option should I select for a current 101+ fully insured group when entering it into ASG?
Use the current 51-100 fully insured selection until future updates are implemented. The quote proposal template wording will also reflect 51-100 fully insured for 101+ groups. This template will eventually be updated as Aetna works through updates.
What are the participation requirements?
Minimum participation is straight 20% of total eligible employees. No additional calculation or removal of waivers, just 20% of total eligible.
