As part of Word & Brown’s ongoing efforts to deliver more to help brokers address the diverse needs of clients throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, the General Agency has announced additions to its regional leadership team.
 
Vanessa Benitez, the Regional Vice President (RVP) in the San Diego area, is expanding her role to include oversight for the Inland Empire. During her 14 years at Word and Brown, Vanessa has demonstrated a continuous commitment to brokers, the clients you serve, the health insurance industry, and our organization. Under her leadership, sales in the San Diego region have grown more than 250%, and she and her expanded team in the Inland Empire are looking to achieve similar results.
 
A key member of the Inland Empire leadership team, Daniel Pierce has transitioned to the role of Director of Field Sales. Daniel’s focus continues to be agency growth and development. A 14-year veteran of The Word & Brown Companies, Daniel was previously an Inside Sales Representative, Director of Inside Sales, and Regional Sales Manager at CHOICE Administrators before moving to Word & Brown in 2017. His extensive expertise, carrier partnerships, and broker relationship insight will help us continue to attract new brokers and drive greater sales in 2021.
 
Working alongside Vanessa and Daniel is Tawny Friedly, who has been promoted to Inside Sales Director for both the Inland Empire and San Diego regions. Tawny started her insurance career in 2008, working for three brokerage firms in various sales specialist roles prior to joining Word & Brown in 2014 as an enrollment specialist. Her experience, eagerness to learn, and outstanding work ethic led to her promotion to Inside Sales Representative (ISR) in 2015. In her ISR role, Tawny created quote and renewal efficiencies and grew her broker block 300%. These commendable results made her the ideal team member to help drive Inside Sales initiatives and consistencies across both territories.
 
Beyond the expanded leadership team, Inland Empire brokers now have access to increased resources to support sales, enrollment, and account management.
