- Dental: PPO and DHMO fully insured plans for groups of 101+, self-funded options for 200+
- Vision: Fully Insured for groups of 101+
- Voluntary Benefits: Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity for groups of 300+
- Participation
- Dental: Can be offered contributory or voluntary with 30% participation/40% for cross-sale discount
- Vision: Can be offered contributory or voluntary with minimum of 10 enrolled
- Voluntary Benefits: 20% participation; negotiable based on number of eligible employees and previous coverage
- What's Needed to Quote
- Census (including DOB, gender, home ZIP Code)
- Current and renewal rates
- Current and proposed plan designs (including commissions)
- For groups of 300+, group experience is required
- Quote turnaround time is 5-7 business days
- Discounts
- Dental: For new business groups of 101-300, 3% off Medical; for 301+, 2% off Medical; at renewal, 2% off Medical for 101+ groups
- Vision: For new business and renewing groups, a discount of 0.5% off Medical is available
- Voluntary Benefits: A discount of 0.25% is available on Medical for each line added – a total 0.75% discount if adding Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
- Rate Guarantee
- Dental: For groups of 101-300 employees, a 36-month rate guarantee is available; on 301+ groups, experience is required, which could lead to a 12- to 24-month rate guarantee
- Vision: For groups of 101+, a 48-month rate guarantee is available
- Voluntary Benefits: A 24-month rate guarantee is available

- Dental: The Dental PPO national network includes 420,000 providers offering an average discount of 38%; the DHMO network has a national presence with access in 34 states; the cross-border network is available for both PPO and DHMO coverage; PPO plan designs are flexible with a $5,000 calendar year max available and the ability to update treatment frequency, coinsurance levels, posterior composites, and implants; DHMO can include implants; ortho is comprehensive with copay flexibility
- Vision: Aetna uses EyeMed’s network with 75% independent providers and 25% retail; exclusive discounts include $100 off at LensCrafters and Pearle Vision, $50 off at Target Optical, $50 off at Sunglass Hut, 25% off at CVS Optical online
- Voluntary Benefits: Aetna offers a simplified claims process; Aetna Medical will initiate and process voluntary benefits claims; marketing allowances are available; tech consultants are assigned to buildout products, set up file feed, and establish billing; participation and plan designs are flexible
