January’s Tech Team Updates offer more news you can use concerning Ease and its transition to Employee Navigator, which continues throughout 2025.
 
Intake Form: Get the latest Ease Setup Request form in Word & Brown’s Insurance Forms Library. The Employee Navigator (EN) Setup Instructions are also available.
 
API Errors for Demographic Audit: You can now view all transmission errors for an API-based Demographic Audit on a single page. On a group’s Demographic Audit page, click the warning icon in the Fetch Status column on any past audit to see all the errors in an at-a-glance view. Previously, you needed to click on the Transmissions Logs and look through each individually.
 
Enhancements to Life Events: To create a smoother Open Enrollment closeout process, we have expanded to the “Send Deductions to Payroll” date for HR and Licensee users. HR users without “Update Benefits” selected in their Access Control List can no longer start a life event, edit an incomplete life event, or approve a pending life event enrollment. Access to the Administrative Corrections feature on the Change Benefits page is also blocked. Sign in at Employee Navigator to read the complete article.
 
Ease OLE Quick Tips for Broker Users
Ease Connections Readiness: Using the Readiness feature allows brokers to ensure all required information has been entered to establish a connection to EaseConnect and EaseConnect+ partners.

• Plans cannot be connected while a group is in Open Enrollment (OE). The connection is initiated once OE closes.
• All plan and employee details must be present for successful transmission of enrollment data with EaseConnect or EaseConnect+.
• Only those ready to connect are available in the carrier drop menu.
• To learn more, sign at Ease.
