Exclusive Partnership Alert: Word & Brown and Centivo Bring Innovative Health Plans to California!
We’re excited to announce a Word & Brown exclusive.
We have been selected as the first General Agent (GA) in California for Centivo, a third-party administrator (TPA) and innovative health plan for self-funded employers.
Centivo is a fully integrated national health plan solution. All of your clients’ employees have access to Cigna’s network with PPO, OAP, and LocalPlus® network options. Adding the Centivo proprietary network (operating in 13 states) opens the door to outstanding savings.
Through your partnership with W&B, you can offer Centivo services to your Small Group and Large Group clients in California.
Centivo plans work for groups of every size and type. The primary focus is groups of 50+, but smaller groups can be considered on a case-by-case basis. Centivo’s “sweet spot” is groups of 50-300 employees.Target businesses include:
- Manufacturing
- Non-profit
- Retail
- Restaurants
- Education
- Hospitality
- Auto
- Real estate
- Family- and employee-owned businesses
- Margin-sensitive companies with an affordability-sensitive workforce
Firms based in Northern and Central California have current access only to the Cigna provider network, not the Partnership Plan and Centivo network. If your clients have employees throughout California, a combination of plans and networks may be available. Ask us for a quote.

What’s Needed to Quote
Share the following and Centivo can get started on your quote:
- Census (DOB, home ZIP Code, gender, enrollment tier, plan selection) – member level info
- Last two renewals
- Current/renewal rates
- Plan designs
- Employer contribution levels
- HSA contribution (if applicable)
If available, the following is also requested:
- Monthly claims data with large claim report (24 months is ideal, if possible). This information can help Centivo measure risk. Without it, underwriters may assume the worst.
