Meet the team

Tawny Friedly is Regional Vice President (RVP) for Word & Brown in both the San Diego area and the Inland Empire. She plays a critical role in driving sales growth and retention as well as broker recruitment in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. She was promoted to the role in 2022, after having served as Director of Inside Sales for the two regions since 2021. 

Tawny entered the health insurance industry in 2007 at a small brokerage firm. She moved to a larger firm, where she worked as an account coordinator while pursuing her major in Sociology at San Diego State University. 

She joined The Word & Brown Companies as an enroller in 2014, earning a promotion to Inside Sales Representative the following year. During seven years in that role, Tawny built and managed an elite partner book of business. She averaged a fifty percent increase in sales, year over year.
